Long Meta Platforms on Muse-driven rerating
Bullish-1.36%
AI Summary
The author maintains a broadly bullish stance on the AI sector, highlighting specific long positions in Google, Meta, and Micron while viewing recent pullbacks as buying opportunities ahead of key product catalysts.
OpenAI delays its IPO and reaches a $1.4 trillion valuation in a new round of $30 billion financing.
O一家's momentum has been strong recently; while A一家's ARR growth has slowed significantly, O一家's ARR is growing rapidly (though from a slightly lower base).
I previously stated that if we see A一家's ARR growth slow down and the market panic-sell, it is a good time to buy. This is not because AI is slowing down, but because A一家's market share is being taken by O一家 and open-source solutions.
Now Muse is also taking market share. META has poached MDB's CEO and is looking to capture the enterprise market as well.
However, I am still most focused on Google. When will the rumored Gemini 4 be released? Will it truly return to the forefront? Will Antigravity combined with Gemini be as user-friendly as Claude and Codex?
I have recently added Google to my heavy holdings and will wait and see.
I also opened a position in META yesterday. I believe the rerating driven by Muse is not yet over. The 2C TAM is enormous; we are nowhere near the end of this story.
AI performed well today, along with BE, etc. However, I still hope to see clearer outcomes from the midterm elections before resuming heavy positions in AI hardware.
Micron's MU earnings report today could be a catalyst for my heavy position; after the report, it will become clear that MU is undervalued. I personally hold DRAM. Should I take a separate position in MU? I will consider this today.
